Diaryx

Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 26, 2026

Diaryx is a personal journal and note-taking application. Your privacy is fundamental to how we build and operate the app.

Data Storage

Local by default. All entries, attachments, and workspace data are stored on your device. Diaryx does not collect, transmit, or process your content unless you explicitly enable a sync or backup feature.

Sync

If you choose to enable sync, your workspace data is transmitted to and stored on our sync server in the form of CRDT documents and git repositories. This data is used solely to synchronize your content across your devices. We do not read, analyze, sell, or use your synced data for any purpose other than providing the sync service to you.

Cloud Backups

If you choose to back up to a third-party service (such as Google Drive or Amazon S3), your data is transmitted directly to that provider. Diaryx does not retain copies of data sent to third-party backup providers. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Account Information

If you create an account for sync, we store your email address and only use it when you request a code to login. We do not send marketing emails or share your email with third parties.

Analytics and Tracking

Diaryx does not include analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.

Data Deletion

You can delete your local data at any time by removing your workspace files. To delete synced data from our server, use the delete option in the app's sync settings, or contact us at the email below and we will remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and include a notice in the app release notes.
